Tadgifauna

In the near future, the most profitable and popular spectator sport in America is the Tadgifauna Tournament, where genetically engineered, telepathic creatures called Tadgifauna are commanded by teenagers to fight to the death. Haru Ito, a pacifistic Japanese-American student who hates the tournaments, is roped into competing as a trainer and given a Tadgifaun to care for and protect, whom he names Jun. After being contacted by a mysterious conspirator known only as Omoikane, Haru must fight to keep Jun safe and to stop the cruel tournaments once and for all.
