Online learning, whether you agree with this approach of instruction or not, is here, and it is not going away. Often when we hear about an online course of instruction that is offered, we initially tend to believe that it cannot possibly be as personal or rewarding as a course delivered in a traditional environment. However, recent advancements in technology can help alleviate some of these preconceived stigmas. We are now fortunate to live in a time where we can hear, see and interact with our students over the Internet, regardless of geographic location and without compromising the quality of our instruction, thanks to videoconferencing technology.
