Teeth in the Roof

Something has begun chewing its way into Briar Hollow.

When strange pressure waves rattle the foundation of the Briar Hollow Museum of the Unseen, researcher Rowan Cross believes the disturbance is another minor fracture event-one of the many anomalies the museum quietly monitors beneath the town. But when scavenger creatures from the rift begin circling the building and teeth-like structures erupt through the museum's roof, Rowan and his partner Maeve realize the breach is evolving.

The creatures are not attacking randomly.

They are synchronizing.

As gravity twists inside containment chambers and the town's foundations begin to split open, Rowan discovers the horrifying truth: the creatures are living amplifiers for something older, a presence known only as the Harvester. Through possessed townsfolk and impossible antler-shaped geometry, the entity begins widening fractures beneath Briar Hollow, preparing the town to become a gateway.

To stop the collapse, Rowan attempts a desperate counter-resonance-disrupting the creatures' pack frequency and forcing the rift to recoil.

The attempt works.

But only briefly.

Now the flock waits in the pine forest beyond town, watching the museum from the shadows while fractures spread across the region.

The roof was only the beginning.

And something far larger has awakened beneath the earth.
