Tell Me Why

Having made her reputation as an art curator in Manhattan, Romy Park returns to her hometown of Monterey, California to open her own gallery. Romy is both nervous and excited to be back in Monterey and it soon becomes a blessing and a curse as people and events from her past come back into her life, such as Connor, her childhood sweetheart who Romy had to watch marry someone else a decade ago. Reconnecting with old friends, however, won't stop Romy from focusing on her goal: persuading reclusive artist Milo Keys to exhibit at her gallery.

Milo hasn't painted in a decade, the suicide of his wife a few years earlier leaving a deep scar on his psyche, but something about the young art curator touches him and he slowly warms up to the idea of returning to the art world.

The attraction between Romy and Milo begins to grow and soon they are falling for each other. But with Romy's new happiness comes darkness: someone is out to cause her and her nascent business harm and when she is attacked, she begins to question everyone around her.

Is Milo's past trauma causing him to resent her for not being his late wife, or is the truth something far more shocking and insidious?
