Jessie Gallagher has always had it easy—she’s smart, attractive and has family money to tap in case of emergency. So when her new boss turns out to be a nightmare, she’s able to quit her job and strike out on her own. 


Combining her passion for dogs and love of baking, she opens a gourmet dog-biscuit business. No one said it would be easy, then again, it’s definitely better than working for a certifiable tyrant. 


When an unexpected call from her ex-boss, with a request to walk her dog, leads to the discovery of her boss’s body, Jessie’s perfect world is upended. She should be more upset by the murder of her boss than the fate of the dog who’s going to an equally miserable sister, but really—who hadn’t wished that woman dead? The dog on the other hand—he shouldn’t have to spend the rest of his life tied to a rope.
