That's Not What I Heard‪!‬

It's always about change, and the futility of depending on people and circumstances not to change. We take cold comfort in relying on maxims which insist that change can be controlled: over time, everything is supposed to get easier, it doesn't; small words are the easiest to understand, they never are; and hard work always pays off in the end, rarely.
