After a rushed marriage the German PR-woman Julia, follows George Osterman, a world famous author of thrillers, to the States - only to find herself the sole and lonely occupant of a gilded cage in Florida, while George takes himself off to an undisclosed location to write. When suddenly human remains are discovered in the Everglades, the bodies have been dismembered in a way that eerily reminds Julia of some of the murders in George´s books. Who is this man she promised to love and cherish and who is now hiding from her in a beach house? With the help of her best friend she embarks on a search for her husband´s true self.
