Carlo Collodi was an Italian author and journalist, born as Carlo Lorenzini on November 24, 1826, in Florence, Italy. He worked as a journalist for various newspapers and magazines in Italy, and also wrote children's stories under the pen name "Carlo Collodi."
Collodi's most famous work is the children's book "The Adventures of Pinocchio," which was first published as a serial in 1881 and then as a complete book in 1883. The story follows a wooden puppet named Pinocchio, who is brought to life by a fairy and dreams of becoming a real boy. The book has been translated into many languages and adapted into numerous films, plays, and other media.
Collodi continued to write stories and articles until his death on October 26, 1890, in Florence, Italy, at the age of 63.
