The Amazon Chronicle

The Amazon Chronicle recalls the story of a tribe that was located in the western Caucasus Mountains --among the borders of present day Georgia,Abkhazia and Russia-- circa. 750 BC.

The accumulation of the recorded accounts of the survivors of this people's Final Defeat gives detailed insight into the lives of the five generations of these men and women who called themselves the Amazoi.

We are there through this nomadic group's transition from a chiefdom to a matriarchal society, and follow them from escaping near-annihilation, to their rise to power as a small empire.
