The Anarchic Farm

Aiden Blake’s life has unexpectedly fallen apart, he’s lost his job and now his wife has left him. Their house is sold and Aiden is forced to find a new purpose. Encouraged by his best friend, Izz, he takes the opportunity to try something completely different. His journey north takes him via his childhood home in the Fens to an alien world of dry stone walls, scary livestock and eccentric colleagues. Aiden is out of his comfort zone and what’s more things don’t go to plan from the off. Soon fate deals him an unexpected hand.

Over the coming months Aiden experiences moments of joy, darkness and more than a little distraction. Regular calls and visits from his children bring him much needed comfort and endless amusement while he wrestles to learn new skills and do the right thing. There are moody co-workers, uncooperative animals, a loveable but useless sheepdog and nubile twins who distract him.
Meeting and falling for Cecily, the beguiling school teacher, takes him back to being a blubbering 16 year old again. Dark secrets, and a string of life threatening incidents entwine themselves into his destiny. After every setback Aiden patches himself up and carries on. He has always been driven by his enduring belief that everything will all be alright in the end.
