Hard-boiled FBI agent Connie Bain puts on a magical bracelet confiscated from a suspected terrorist and finds herself transported to a parallel universe, where she is unwittingly pressed into a quest to save the world from Chaos. And while Connie is doing all she can to survive the mysterious dangers of the alien world and learn the ways of magic, the spirit of Alyndia, the sorceress who sent the bracelet to Earth, takes over Connie’s body and proceeds to make a mess of Connie’s former life in her own quest to be with the man she loves.
