The Bible Murders

Anna Kayce comes back into the life of John Mentz to ask his detective agency to investigate the case the newspapers had dubbed The Bible Murders. Mary and Martin Price had been found in their home viciously murdered. The adopted twin daughter, Jennifer, is suspected of the murders, but she denies the accusation. Her biological grandmother comes forward and doggedly holds onto her belief in her granddaughter's innocence. As John investigates the case, he realizes there is "more to the case than meets the eye" and eventually uncovers the deep, dark secrets of a fanatically religious family.

The reappearance of Anna brings back old feelings. It has been five years since the trial in the death of Senator Levall and much has changed for both of them. John finds Anna a much stronger woman and sexier than ever, but the lingering doubt that she had actually murdered the Senator still haunts him. He struggles to resolve this and allow his love for her to dominate his feelings.
