Keen to know what happened, Donnie becomes frustrated when Police Department's priorities relegate the murder of an illegal immigrant to the bottom of the pile. Attitudes deteriorate when he goes out on a limb. Worse still, Donnie is threatened by a dangerous Latino Street Gang. Bravado from his gun toting buddies leads Donnie into a deadly confrontation. Left with no choice but to run, Donnie flees Nashville taking a distressed young witness, the consequences of leaving her behind unthinkable.
