Beschreibung des Verlags
Living the lazy and luxurious life of a pet, Buck could not know that gold was discovered in Alaska, nor that this discovery would forever change his life. Stolen from his master and sold for a quick profit, Buck is shipped up to the Arctic to live among the hardened ranks of the sled dogs, led by the short-tempered and violent alpha Spitz. Fighting to survive against an unforgiving climate and pack rivalries, Buck slowly leaves his domesticated life behind and embraces the wild.

Good doggie
The story of a domesticated dog that overcomes suffering and hardship, relearns his instincts and reconnects with his ancestry.
A harsh and violent book that feels realistic in its depictions of the world and characters and holds your attention. The world is cruel and you celebrate every victory of this strong and competent dog. This is not a Disney-like talking dog story. This is quite dark and I’d recommend it to boys of at least 13 years old.
