The Case Study

Charlotte is having bad luck; every contact she tries to make to gather research for her doctoral dissertation has rebuffed her, and to top that, she finds herself running into a bar to get out of the rain after yet another rejection. Frustrated and damp, her mood turns around when a friendly bartender gives her some towels and gives her a break on a hot drink.

Jonathan is intrigued when Charlotte walks in, and even more interested when he finds out what Charlotte’s research project is on. He finds her naiveté charming and eventually works around to figuring out a way to help her with her dissertation—that is, if she’s willing.
