The Copper Climber

n the endless, sunlight-dappled canopy of the jungle realm lives a gentle, small-stature people with warm orange skin and tufts of bright green hair. Among them is Rusty, a young climber with a distinct copper sheen and a heart filled with curiosity about the world beyond the known trees.

Life in the High Branches is a constant struggle for survival. Shadowbeasts, Snoutlurkers, and Winged Hunters prowl the lower levels, forcing the tribe to cling to the safety of the ancient boughs while living off bitter caterpillars and rough bark mash. For Rusty's people, sweet seeds are a holy, elusive treasure—scarce as starlight and celebrated whenever found.

When a shortage of food forces a foraging expedition toward the Singing Rocks at the edge of their territory, Rusty catches a drift of salt wind and follows a scent sweeter than any seed he has ever known. Stepping onto the open sand of the beach, he comes face-to-face with Wendel Wonder, a tall, strangely dressed inventor from across the sea. Wendel shares a taste of pure, rich seed essence—a delicious miracle that changes Rusty's life in a single bite.

Determined to bridge two vastly different worlds, Rusty guides the tall stranger through the deadly jungle back to the High Branches. With the promise of endless sweet seeds and a life free from the terror of predators below, Rusty must help his tribe make a monumental choice: stay hidden in the trees they have always known, or step into the unknown and embark on a grand adventure across the ocean.
