Introduction The Macedonian Diaspora has its origins in the late 1800s with the first Macedonians to settle in Canada. Macedonians fled their homeland for better existence. Macedonians have a strong work ethic and as a result have excelled in some of the most advanced countries in the world such as the USA, Canada and Australia and countries throughout the EU. the role of the Macedonian Diaspora in Macedonia's struggle for independence and its identity was quite clear during the Republic of Macedonia's existence within the Former Yugoslav Federation. However, since independence in 1991, the role of the Macedonian Diaspora has not been well articulated by the Republic of Macedonia as well as the Macedonian Diaspora. therefore, the purpose of this article is to address the question:
