The Dogs of Hell

It's a Hell of a job, but someone's got to do it...

It's been months since the incident with the inugami, and Michael and his hellhounds are seriously overworked. An overdue vacation is on the horizon that will give them a welcomed break from the black hunts that fill their mailbox and the wargs they must drag back to Hell. Michael is excited for the chance to finally search for answers, the puzzle of his lost memories and Danny's missing soul never far from his mind.

However, Michael's plans are ruined when the unthinkable happens. The prison that houses Levels Five through Nine is attacked, and the wargs kept in the lowest level of Hell are freed. Some even manage to escape Hell and enter the Living World. Vacation is canceled as Hell's leadership calls on all Hunters to track down the wargs. The order is to capture or kill, and above all, don't let them cause permanent damage to the Living.

As all Hell breaks loose, Michael is unexpectedly confronted with his past. Everything he thought he knew about himself and his adoptive family is shattered, as old truths are revealed, and old grudges and alliances are resurrected. Those he loves face destruction and Michael's immortal soul is on the line as his loyalty to Hell is tested in the ultimate choice between his new life...or the man who raised him.
