Love left me off its to-do list.
I date. I'm all for giving guys a chance. I've just never met the one.
Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them just to check they're real. I'm sure that's a thunderclap of chemistry I feel between us.
Did I mention he's an Earl with a self-made fortune?
A billionaire who works tirelessly for charity?
And he's so hot, watching him is like staring at the sun.
But like I said, love isn't rooting for me.
When I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I've dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.
It no longer matters that he quickens my pulse just saying my name, weakens my knees with a single touch and that he might just be the greatest kisser that ever lived.
I might believe in love but Logan Steele is definitely not the one.
A standalone romance.

This book is the definition of witty feel-good romance! Reading The Earl of London feels like a vacation to the lovely English countryside and a time travel into a parallel universe that has a modern Jane Austen vibe. The village of Woolton seems like a place where traditions and village life are cherished and everyone knows each other and looks out for everyone.
The female main character Darcy is deeply rooted to her land and traditions. The village is a sanctuary to her and preserving it has become part of her identity. She is comforted by her routines and often hides the multiple layers of her clever and funny character for the sole reason of lack of stimulation. She doesn’t even know that she is missing something or better someone in her life, until she meets Logan. He takes her out of her comfort zone and pushes all the right buttons. The chemistry between these two is just perfect! I absolutely love the scene where he realizes how beautiful she is and just blurts it out. On the first impression, Logan is a bit contradicting. He is somewhere between arrogant prick and honorable grandchild, shrewd businessman and charming boy and a bit bitter about the past but at the same time he does anything to bring his grandma back to her hometown.
They both seem like they haven’t found their balance in life yet and are missing something. As it turns out, they are just perfect for each other, if they just let it happen. Their internal struggles are so relatable and I love how they try to convince themselves that they don’t need the other one, where the whole village already knows how it is going to play out.
It’s the perfect mix of destined-to-be-together lovers and enemies-to-lovers.
This book really has everything a good book needs: clever and interesting main characters, funny dialogues, a cozy background setting and a great story line.
The Earl of London will definitely stay up on the favorite book section of my shelf and I can recommend it to anyone who looks for a great read that lets you finish with a dreamy look in your eyes, a sigh on your lips and a happy heart!
