“The Endless Tale” is a fairy tale, entered in the collection of Fifty Famous Stories, published in 1896. In the Far East lives a great king who has no work to do, and all day long he sits on soft cushions and listens the stories – no matter what it is about. There is only one fault that upsets the King – every story has the end. So he sent the word into every city and country place – this one, who will tell him an endless tale will take the King’s daughter as the wife and become the heir. But anyone, who will try to tell such a story and then fail, will be beheaded. One stranger from the South finds the way to slew the king. How? Read the story to know!
