The Famous Five

Explore Kirrin Island and beyond with Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog. From treasure islands and secret trails to camps, moors and coastal mysteries, the Five find adventure wherever the holidays take them. This edition contains the 21 main Famous Five adventures plus The Famous Five Have a Puzzling Time and Other Stories, for 22 book-level entries in the collection. The series begins with Five on a Treasure Island and follows the friends through camps, caravans, farms, secret passages and journeys beside the sea. George’s fierce loyalty, Timmy’s instincts and the group’s habit of asking one more question make the mysteries enduring favorites. Each novel has its own place in the collection, so readers can follow the holiday adventures in order or return directly to a remembered story. The final entry is a separate Famous Five story collection rather than another main-series novel; the description and contents make that distinction clear. For readers seeking classic children’s mystery and adventure fiction, this volume brings the familiar group and their changing settings together.
