Summer Rose has inherited more than a house at the Lake of Whispering Lights. She has inherited a living threshold, a dangerous legacy, and a warning: gather the hidden heirs before the Draeven takes one and makes the choice for them all.

The Draeven does not hunt like an ordinary monster. It listens for wounds, wears beloved voices, and turns fear, grief, and love into invitations. To stop it, Summer must find three hidden heirs before they are claimed.

Rowan is the guardian branch, found in the eastern caves, fighting a thing that can wear familiar faces. Jonah is the grieving storm, lured by the voice of his dead sister toward a choice that would turn love into punishment. Talia is the memory-heir, discovered at Bellroot Hollow where water, stone, and an impossible bell remember too much.

Together, Rowan, Jonah, and Talia form the gathered line—a living triad meant to steady and protect the threshold. But the Draeven has learned that the line is more than a defense. It may also be a key.

As Ike's shield wakes, Audrey is wounded by a heart-path mark, and Summer's household learns that even love can become a road if fear answers first. When the three heirs are gathered, a black-glass bloom opens on the lake, every door in the house unlocks, and a black stair appears beneath the kitchen hall.

The fourth place has begun to wake.
