Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (1859 – 1930) was a Scottish author, playwright and physician. He is mostly known for his fictional stories of adventures and investigations of Sherlock Holmes and doctor Watson, a private detective from London and his companion.

The “Gloria Scott” is a short detective story by Arthur Conan Doyle. The story revolves around Holmes’s remembering his very first case. Victor Trevor was Holmes’s old friend from university. Together they spent a month in Norfolk, at Trevor’s family estate. But an inquisitive mind of Holmes knows no rest, and so, willingly or not, he started to pull all the skeletons from closets of Trevor family.
