On the last week of the summer holidays, ten-year-old twins Órlaith and Arthur stumble into a hidden library and find a book that glows. Open it, and the pages open back, and suddenly they are standing in Evergleam, a dreamland of upward-flowing waterfalls, singing forests and creatures who have been waiting a very long time for someone to turn up.

But something is wrong in the wood. The Shadow is spreading, the stars have gone silent, and a book of endings is striking names from the story one by one.

With a new friend, a stubborn little courage and each other, the twins must find out what is unravelling Evergleam before the last page is written.
