This is the second edition of a print photographic book (which book is now out-of-print), which is very much enlarged over the first edition. With over 900 photos, this edition covers all 297 miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, showing the reader the full range of experiences available - rapids, placid stretches, campsites, side canyons, flora and fauna, canyon walls, geological phenomena, waterfalls, hanging gardens, fossils, petroglyphs, ruins, grottoes, caves, polished and sculpted rocks, travertine formations, natural bridges, commercial, scientific and private trips, with typical river craft and threats to the river and river corridor, along with much pertinent data, such as mileages, rapids ratings, river access points and so forth. While not a guide, strictly-speaking, this book showcases the entirety of a river trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.
