The Green Scarf

A college romance becomes a fight for survival when terrorists target the woman Rick loves. A hardworking pre-med student struggling to survive college financially, Rick spends his days exhausted from classes and work-until he notices the girl sitting in front of him.

Julie. Quiet. Beautiful. Graceful. And impossible to stop thinking about.

What begins with admiration for the elegant curve of her neck slowly becomes something far deeper. Wanting Julie to say yes to a date, Rick spends money he cannot afford on a beautiful green silk scarf wrapped in shimmering gold paper and secretly leaves it on her desk. The gesture changes everything.

But Julie is not an ordinary college student. Julie's father is a Marine Colonel living under the shadow of tragedy. His wife was brutally murdered by terrorists and now he believes the same people are searching for Julie.

When Rick finally gathers the courage to pursue her, he is abruptly taken by two Marines for questioning. The Colonel wants answers: Who is Rick? Why is he interested in Julie? Can he protect her when the danger finally comes?

What begins as intimidation slowly turns into something unexpected: respect. The Colonel realizes Rick possesses the one quality he cannot teach-He refuses to walk away.

Their romance begins innocently: Late-night dates. Laughter. New love. First kisses. But beneath every moment is a growing sense that something dangerous is approaching.  Julie understands the truth but Rick does not and he refuses to walk away. Every morning at 6 am, Rick trains with Marines. Every night, he falls deeper in love.

The pressure becomes unbearable. His grades begin slipping. The Dean begins asking questions. And Rick slowly realizes that the people hunting Julie are not just strangers from overseas but, also, some are Americans that he knows.

The world he believed in begins collapsing around him as terrorism, betrayal, and violence move closer and closer to the people he loves.
