Balancing the life of a folk singer and a shifter slayer can be quite the juggling act, especially on a good day. So when my old friend Mason Wallace extends an invitation to perform at his club in the charming town of Burton on Halloween, I eagerly anticipate a much-needed mini-vacation. Of course, wherever I go, my undercover shifter partner Nash follows. I don't mind that much; lately, we've been getting along a little better, despite some frustrating undercurrents of unresolved tension.
But everything changes when we cross paths with two local shifters in Burton. Their undeniable chemistry sparks an unsettling feeling within me, one that threatens to push Nash and me beyond the boundaries of our carefully maintained control.

I've encountered my fair share of shifters and heard all about fated mates, but none have been as stubborn as Arya and Griffon. When I stumble upon a small shifter community during a tour stop in Burton, I'm mildly intrigued by the prospect of connecting with my own kind. However, being roped into the task of persuading these two shifters to embrace their destinies isn't exactly my idea of a good time.
Especially when their smoldering, barely-contained passion begins to unravel my own defenses, forcing me to confront feelings I've kept hidden for far too long.
