Detective Constable Mayra Beeweather is given a seemingly impossible case to solve. The statue of a long dead king has been vandalized in a local park, and the highest echelons of government are demanding the perpetrator is immediately caught, and tried for treason.

But the dead king is loathed by most of the population, making the suspect list nearly half of the town.
