Lucy Diamond's novel inspires some tears, laughter and a nice warm glow. She invites us into a Regency era house in Brighton where four female tenants are tackling a diverse array of issues. Diamond writes her likeable characters with real empathy, but doesn’t allow us to wallow with Rosa, Georgia, Charlotte or Margot for too long. You’ll be too busy rooting for them to bounce back from their personal tragedies, romantic disasters and career missteps.
