Rochester and psychographed by the renowned Russian medium Vera Kryzhanovskaia, The Infernal Spell is a breathtaking Gothic and spiritual novel that explores the terrifying reality of the invisible world and the absolute law of cause and effect. Lost and exhausted, Kira seeks solace in a Russian convent, where a peaceful vision near a sacred shrine reveals the key to her salvation: she must seek Chepso, a miraculous Circassian magician living in the Caucasus mountains.

Through a powerful ritual on the edge of a deep abyss, Chepso neutralizes the dark forces and instructs Kira on the ultimate, terrifying act of expiation: she must open Alexei's tomb, light seven candles, and plunge a consecrated knife directly into his uncorrupted heart.
