The Invisible Man The Invisible Man

Beschreibung des Verlags

In this classic of English literature, Wells builds a brilliant story about ambition, horror, and the ability of science to corrupt people when misused.

The invisible man in the title is Griffin, a scientist who has dedicated himself to research in optical systems and devises a way to change a body's refractive index so that it doesn't absorb or reflect light and thus becomes invisible. He successfully performs this procedure on himself, but fails in his attempt to reverse it.

Harassed by the residents, unable to deal with the power that invisibility gives him, he gradually moves into a state of violence and intolerance.
