This book is a photographic promenade meant to expose some of the beliefs, ceremonies and rituals of Bali. It reminds one of the gentle aroma of incense, the music of the gamelan, and the smiles and gestures of friendship that Balinese are so proud to offer.



Having been very influenced by Sebastião Salgado, who he admires enormously, we find in the photos of Patrice Delmotte, an aesthetic research into light. More particularly of the light of his youth in which we see the clear-obscure so popular with the Flemish painters. We also find in his compositions, the experience of a graphic artist. The emotions and atmospheres that appear in his work reflect and express his intimate passion for Asia.
