Keith is 19 and living in London. It is shortly after the death of John Lennon and the city is in mourning. Keith lives in a boarding house under the watchful eye of Eileen, a 60-something dancer still dreaming of fame in the musicals. He develops a troubled friendship with Peter, the son of a wealthy businessman who is slumming it for a year. Eventually he is befriended by Robert, a socialist “landscape artist”, who introduces Keith to drugs and New Wave music. Keith becomes enamoured with Sandrine, a French exchange student, and all goes well until he introduces her to Robert…
