The Magical Cat

When Ana finds a stray white cat on her way home from school she wastes no time taking it home. Little does she know, her new friend is Skylar the magical cat! In return for her kindness, Skylar offers to grant Ana three wishes that will bring her happiness! Hmmm…what will she wish for?

The Magical Cat is Carla Marrero’s first book, inspired by a story that she wrote in sixth grade. She never forgot it, and after graduating with a degree in Illustration from the Art Institute of Boston in 1998, Skylar and Ana were still on her mind. Her bright and energetic illustrations, completed in 2005-2006, finally helped bring her characters to life.
