Black and white illustrated frontispiece with plates throughout. Moderate cracking to hinges, with exposed netting to front of book, pages remain attached. Pages have light foxing throughout with tanning to rear free endpaper and text block edges. Plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Water stain to top edge of rear pastedown. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine with slight crushing to ends. Slight staining overall, heavier to front board edges. Wear marks overall. Book has slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
