The Miracle Year

Ron Barrett witnessed a miracle that inspired plans for an event that he thinks will make history. But as Ron organizes the gathering, a suspicion haunts him that the miracle was a hoax, and that his reaction to it is being secretly monitored in a twisted social experiment. Ron is a School Board member in Harriston, Virginia, a historic town amid the farmland of the Shenandoah Valley. At the end of a testy board hearing over creation and evolution, the crowd in attendance heard what many thought was the voice of God issue a challenge: adversaries in the debate should set aside their differences and gather again to receive an important message. During the months leading up to it, Ron wants to know if he'll be ushering in a new era of human consciousness, or if he's been duped by an elaborate fraud.
