The Padded Cell

When his oldest friend is found dead in questionable circumstances Madison Addison is persuaded out of his self-satisfied existence of indolence and measured drinking to investigate. He quickly finds himself immersed in a murky world of government intrigue that encompasses the vicious murder of a beautiful young woman and several conspiracies involving shadowy agencies brokering drug deals for political gain. The cast of characters features an extensive cadre of unsavoury gangsters and international confidence tricksters, and the plot moves between the streets of London and Dublin to Islamabad and Istanbul.
