The River

The River is a middle grade adventure story about bravery, friendship, and the unseen forces that

shape our lives. When young Billie O'Malley climbs her favourite apple tree, a fall sends her into the

raging Riviera River. The storm swollen waters sweep her into a dangerous journey filled with rapids,

whirlpools, and a terrifying plunge over the falls.

Her friends John and Linnie fight to keep her alive as the river pulls them farther from home. Along the

way, they face deadly currents, uprooted trees, and a whirlpool that nearly drags them under. Unknown

to them, a pod of river dolphins watches over their struggle, guiding and rescuing them when all seems

lost.

Back in Breezieville, the villagers launch a desperate rescue mission. Just when hope begins to fade, a

powerful dolphin saves Billie from drowning and delivers her safely to John and Linnie. The children are

finally reunited with their families, and the village celebrates their miraculous return.

But their adventure is only the beginning. Signs appear that the river remembers everything. Strange

symbols, mysterious voices, and the reappearance of a legendary ship hint at a deeper truth. The

children realize their journey has awakened something ancient, something that is calling to them again.
