Beschreibung des Verlags

The Canaries are blessed with warm water, volcanic reefs and a winter swell pattern that has earned them constant comparisons with Hawaii. North Atlantic swells march south unimpeded, before striking the volcanic islands with challenging power and purpose. It’s not all heavy waves and many islands have mellow beachbreaks for the increasing number of beginners and locals taking to the water. While the strong Latino culture can cause localism problems at some spots, there are plenty of options around all the islands to get away from the crowds and go surfing 'island style'.

The Stormrider Surf Guides are the worlds best selling and most respected collection of surfing guide books delivered in paper, ebook and app formats. The Stormrider Surf Guides are the only comprehensive colour guides to the coastlines of Europe, North America, Central American and the Caribbean, Indonesia and the Indian Ocean, South America, Africa, East Asia, The Pacific and Australia. The authoritative text includes oceanographic, environmental and cultural notes on the entire coastlines. Each guide contains numerous full colour maps and superb photos of the best waves, shot by the best photographers. All information is compiled with the help of local riders whose sensitive approach enables an accurate and knowledgeable appraisal. An essential tool for surfers searching for their perfect wave.

Stormrider Guide Canary Islands

I am a little disappointed by the ebook which I downloaded on my iPad. Of course I have the book. But the nice thing about the e-version is the link to maps as for example in the France ebook. Here it is "look ata spot" then "swish swish swish swish..." Where was the map, then try to go to google to zoom in. As mentioned, the France book takes advantage of technology and makes paying another 6 Euros fair. This one doesn't.
