This book is about a seventeen year old girl named Claire Valentine who has problems with the paranormal. She has two ghost friends who's names are Derek and Rebecca. Them two help Claire throughout the story to defeat ghosts and the all powerful, Rean. He's the so called "master" of these ghosts. Claire must go through training and hard work in order to be strong enough to defeat him. But the real question is, will she have enough courage and will power to do it?
