This paper on architecture is written by the famous Roman architect Vitruvius, who dedicated it to the emperor Caesar Augustus, to serve him as a guide for building projects. This treatise is one of the most important sources of Roman building methods, including the planning and design of structures, both large and small. Also, it is the prime source of the story of the Archimedes’ bath-time discovery.
