A rural area gets a visit from a high profile basketball star. When Phil Dunkin comes into the local fruit-market an unlikely friendship is formed between him and Marley (an abandoned child living with his aunt and uncle). The friendship is tested when Phil (a married man), is charged with rape of one of the local girls who happens to be Marley’s friend Keisha.
