The Z-Bar Ranch Incident

This novelette is the fifth in the series known as "The Laramie Saga". Rather than at Laramie, this story takes place mainly at the Z-Bar Ranch in The Dakota Territory. The Z-Bar was sold to Rex Flintlock by Mary Jacobi, wife of Charlie Burton (Badlands Bart). In it an outlaw gang takes over a neighboring ranch and plunders the Z-Bar and others. Bart along with James Riley is called upon to help resolve the situation. Although this is a sequel to "The Cowboy Cattle Call" it stands by itself very well. It is a fast moving western adventure story.
