Wonderful story. Loved every page
This book is perfection. I read the complete story in one sitting because I couldn’t take the book out of my hands.
It is a story about a survivor. A strong female, who has to reclaim her own body and soul. Watching Maeve fight her inner demons was fascinating and brave. Her battle was written very thoughtful and authentic. You could literally feel her struggle. Such a good work!
Arawn was a fascinating character as well. He reminded me a lot of Rhysand (A court of thorns and roses), because his reputation proceeds him as well. But not every rumor and made up story seems to be true. His bantering with Maeve was fantastic and he is a male you just have to fall in love with.
The nomination for „secret scene stealer“ definitely goes to Lucía. That demon hybrid completely sneaked into my heart and stole it. She is such a sweetheart and her gushing over Maeve and Arawn being together was my highlight in the book. Of course there are so many awesome and epic scenes in this novel.
The whole relationship was built so perfectly, it completely enthralled me. Both of them are so strong and powerful, that it was a lot of fun to watch them slowly fall in love. Of course Maeve’s little dream might have helped, too.
There are actually two separate plots in the book, which perfectly fit together in the end. We got the whole Maeve x Arawn part and then there is Merle, who still has to win the fight against Juneau. Both stories were incredibly suspenseful.
Furthermore, we already get a little glimpse about the next to protagonists and their upcoming book. The author already revealed that Hazel and Tallak would be the next couple. I am already excited for their story!
To conclude, this book is just awesome in so many ways. The paranormal world is again expanded an all the new revelations surprised me a lot. The whole story fits perfectly together and all our favorite characters are back! Nadine Mutas is a fantastic author, who came up with a lovely and strong storyline.
