Tono-Bungay is a novel by H. G. Wells that tells the story of a young man, George Ponderevo, who is taken under the wing of his uncle Edward after the death of his father. As George learns the ropes of the business, he also becomes increasingly aware of the ethical compromises his uncle has made in order to make money.
