Too Many Words

The interesting situation differentiating humans from other animals - coherent written and spoken language, in the form of words - is a conundrum found baffling to many among humankind, especially given the success of the animal kingdom without ostensible recourse to them. The very fact underscoring the claim to some inherent superiority often put forward by homo sapiens, somehow positing a link between words and rationality, in reality has led our common home, Planet Earth, to the brink of catastrophe.
