We know what we know.
We know that one plus one will always equal two, that what goes up must inevitably come down. That each day, from the east, the sun will without exception rise and that, later in the same day, it is then destined to set in the west, crossing the horizon to begin repeat its endless cycle anew.
We know that despite the Sun's setting, the only monsters to lurk in the night are those conjured by our own imaginations or anxieties.
But what happens when what we know comes into conflict with the reality standing in front of us?
When the Boogieman no longer stalks in the nightmares of children, but among the streets and sanctuaries of all humankind?
What depths would a man sink to in order to confront such a reality?
And, perhaps most terrifying of all, what is a man willing to become, in order to fight back?
