Travel takes you far from home and out of your comfort zone. Yet, it also brings home closer as you reflect on your own life through a different lens as you learn about others‛ lives in places you visit. A boy polishing shoes in a café in Spain reminds you of your father shining his shoes for Sunday church services. A visit to a World War II concentration camp makes the sufferings of millions palpable and provides inspiration and strength when hope feels distant years later. A small museum in Upstate New York commemorates a Christmas movie and provides more insights. Memories align with new experiences taking you deeper into the moment.
