Plot lines based on real-life problem situations, which are actually often much more acutely, often permanently damaging.
I don’t think physical and verbal perpetrators should get off scot-free, not in real life, and even less in a novel where such decisions are made by the author.
You are welcome to regard me as prejudiced!
