Ex-soldier Malachi Winters is haunted by the ghosts of his past, his nights plagued by PTSD and days spent reliving the last failed mission in Kabul that cost him everything. Struggling to find a sense of purpose, he can't refuse when he receives a call from his old military buddy, whose wife has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. He flies to New York City to investigate and collides with Jade Jackson, a recent computer science graduate desperate to find her sister, Aria. She insists they team up, and though it goes against his instincts, he can't resist her.

Their paths cross under the most intense circumstances, thrusting them into a dangerous conspiracy involving a ruthless arms dealer known as Raven. As Malachi and Jade race against time to uncover the truth, they must navigate their growing attraction and Malachi's inner demons.
